Wednesday Prayer Request

Yesterday Amy was taken downstairs for an MRI of her head and the results came back normal. The doctor let us know shortly after the procedure was done. We are very thankful for those results. Dr. Westervelt has suggested that a lumbar puncture would be done soon to check Amy's spinal fluid. He wants to rule out that there is any leukemia present there. She has requested prayer for this procedure. We don't have a time schedule for that yet but they tell us it will be tomorrow. Amy is still experiencing pain and some confusion. These seem to be the rough days for her. Her counts are slowly inching their way back up but there are still no neutrophils. The doctor has changed her anti-fungal medication today. She will receive platelets before the procedure tomorrow. Her sister Lizzie is here today for the pre-donor testing. So far, so good. We have not been given a transplant timeline yet. Thank you for remembering her in prayer as she faces the test tomorrow.
Sincerely, Anita -- for Amy

Amy, please know that I am praying for you constantly. I will be away from the computer for the next several days, but luckily, I don't need an internet connection to pray. I have a wireless connection to our Lord and Savior, and I know He is going to continue to bless you. I'm praying for a safe and smooth procedure tomorrow. I pray for God's wisdom for the doctors as you move forward in this journey. I know God will never leave you nor forsake you. He is with you, He is in control, and He loves you. God bless,

I continue to pray for you, Amy. You have taken up residence in my heart and always top my prayer list. You are out of the gates of my heart and up to the throne of God before any other request or petition. I am storming the gates of heaven for you, Amy. I pray a hedge of grace, mercy, and comfort around you and your family tonight and for tomorrow's procedure. May you be blessed by God and the Holy Spirit.

Prayers and hugs...

Jesus,

I lift Amy up to you. You know the pain she is enduring right now. I pray that you would ease her pain, take away her confusion and surround her with your peace.

I pray the lumbar procedure would go smoothly and that you would take away all of Amy's fears and anxieities leading up to the test, during the test and after the test.

I thank you that you are our refuge and strength a very present help in times of trouble. I thank you that you love Amy so much and you care for every detail of her health and life.

I lift her up into your precious care right now.

In Jesus name I pray.

Amen

YOU ARE LOVED!!!

The first prayer I uttered this morning was for you. I pray your lumbar puncture will not be unbearably painful. I pray that the results will be good news. I pray for patience and peace and courage and comfort for you and your family as you wait.

I've also added Lizzie to my list as I know that this isn't just like going and donating blood for her. She has a personal stake in it all and will ask God to bless her for her contribution to your healing!

Prayers and hugs...
