Bronchioscopy

Friday's bronchioscopy went as well as possible. They weren't able to sedate me (gave up after about 400 mg of phentenol still wasn't doing anything), and I can't say I ever want to repeat the experience, but it's over and done with. So far they have not gotten any conclusive results so they are still treating me for a fungal-based pneumonia. In the meantime it seems like my fevers have lessened, and we are just waiting on my white count to come back. It took a big jump yesterday and reached 1.5 today. I'm glad it's finally headed up (hard to explain how you feel when it is non-existent) but I don't want it to fly up too quickly, either. I will most likely have biopsy #10 this next week to see what is going on in my marrow. The doctors have mentioned doing one but haven't put a date to it. I'd love to start talking about going home, but know I have more days here still, and I don't know what the schedule will be like if we decide to go straight to transplant. I had a lung test done on Friday a part of transplant pre-requisite, so we are heading that direction.

Thanks, as always, for your prayers.

Amy

Hi, I was commenting at the beginning of your journey here and have "stalked" the blog on a regular basis. I'm still praying. Today I'm home from church sick so, if you don't mind, I'll take a liberty to pray a bit over your blog!

Dear Lord, I just lift Amy up to you now, our Great Physician and Healer. We know miracles still occur today. We know You still heal. We know that Your wonders have never ceased. I just ask for You to work in Amy's body even in this very moment. I can't lay hands on her to pray for healing but I can type into her blog and I know You'll hear. Lord we just pray that you would work the fevers out of her body. Restore her to full and perfect health! I pray that You would cause her white blood cells to go up in number. No slip ups! No fall backs! We thank you for the great work that You have done not only in her life, but in her family's life. I pray blessings upon all of them this morning as she keeps her focus on You. Bless her abudantly this morning. Renew her stregnth.

Thank you for all the work You have done and are doing and we praise You and thank you for Your willingness to hear our petitions!

Amen.

Hey Amy,
Was so glad you posted today. I come by everyday to pray for you and to see what I can pray for. Irt is always great to see a fairly good report for you.
we had prayer for you in S.s. today, one lady that remembered me talking about you asked how you were doing so I was able to give a report. You are in everyones prayers. I know this group does lift you up.
I will continue to pray for you that the Lord will continue to direct the physicians and they may see God's hands at work with you.

Amy,
I will make a trip to St. Louis and donate platelets as soon as possible...I realize they do not go directly to you however I will do it as often as I can, I never realized the need before. You are still consuming my thoughts and prayers, you are a piercing light to this world, truely I can see God in you.. My love, my heart and my prayers are for you each and every single day. My daughter, Alivia,7, sends her love and she prays for you at least 4 times a day..
Praying for your specific needs,
April Martin
